You will use this kit to take impressions of your teeth at home. These will help our team create your personalised EZ SMILE treatment plan of clear aligners.
Simply follow the instructions provided and watch the video to make your EZ SMILE impressions. Then send us photos to check them at info@ezsmile.com.au. If we think they're good to go, return them in the labelled pre-paid satchel provided. You can drop this into any Australia Post box or office. The postage is included in your purchase price.

You will receive your aligners in clearly numbered packets, five stages at a time (approximately 10 - 12 weeks of treatment). Your subsequent sets of aligners will be sent to you every 2 months. We will email you to notify you when to expect the next sequence of aligners one week before delivery.
No two cases are alike, however most customers should complete their EZ SMILE journey in 4 to 8 months. It is important to note that this completion time frame is based on wearing your aligners for the recommended 20 hours each day. Yes we can treat one arch, however you will need to take impressions of both arches.
There may be some discomfort initially as your mouth becomes accustomed to wearing the aligners and they initiate the movement of your teeth. This discomfort only lasts a few days and is really an indication that the aligners are doing their work. Some discomfort may recur, albeit in a more minor way when you move to the next aligner in the sequence.
There is no aspiration or plan to alter the bite, however there may be some minor alteration.
Your EZ SMILE aligner program recommends that you wear your aligners every day for a minimum of 20 hours a day, meaning at nighttime as well. Wearing these as recommended is the key to getting the smile you've always wanted. You should only remove your aligners before eating or drinking hot liquids and anything except water.
EZ SMILE clear aligners are a suitable treatment option for an active lifestyle. However, if you are playing any form of contact or ball sport you should remove them whilst playing.
Wearing your EZ SMILE clear aligners for 20 hours per day as recommended is the key to getting the smile you've always wanted. If you have not been wearing your aligners as prescribed for several weeks you may need to revert to the previous set to get your treatment back on track. Note if you have not worn them for more 8 weeks then you may need to reassess your entire treatment plan.
No, your EZ SMILE aligners simply slip over and are held in position by your teeth. The EZ SMILE system does not require any attachments.

If you lose or damage one of your current aligners, it's important to immediately start wearing an aligner from the previous set. You should then contact EZ SMILE immediately on 1300 936 400 during business hours to order a replacement. This will incur a $99 fee and will take approximately 14 days from the time of notification. You need to keep wearing the previous aligner until your new one arrives to prevent relapse.
All teeth realignment processes require some form of retention. You will need to wear a retainer in order to ensure that your teeth maintain their new and correct straightness. The retainer should be worn full time for the first two weeks post treatment and then nightly.
EZ SMILE will provide you with a set of retainers when we send you your final aligner package. Your first set of retainers are included in the price of aligners. Additional retainers can be purchased for $99 per set.
Retainers generally last between 6 - 12 months and can be ordered online at your EZ SMILE dashboard when you login.
The retainers provided with your EZ SMILE kit will be effective for 6 – 9 months. You should renew your retainers to prevent relapse. Additional retainers can be purchased from EZ SMILE for $99. Order your retainers by logging into your EZ SMILE dashboard.
Wearing your aligners and retainer as recommended is the key to getting and keeping the smile you've always wanted.
Relapse is always possible if you don't follow these recommendations closely.
There is no reason why your EZ SMILE treatment would require any visit to your dentist. You should however attend any regular and scheduled dental appointments you may have during the EZ SMILE process.

Clear aligners are clear plastic trays that have been moulded to the shape of your teeth. We use these to add small amounts of pressure to your teeth to move them into a new position. A retainer looks the same as an aligner, however it is slightly thicker and it is used to retain the shape of the teeth. A retainer is to be worn at night.
