1. We create your teeth straightening plan
Once you have send us back your impression kit with the completed moulds, our team scans them with our 3D scanner. This turns the moulds of your teeth into a 3D model of your teeth and gums. Our lab then uses the 3D scan of your teeth along with your photos to build your own personalised plan to straighten your teeth, aligner by aligner, moving each tooth like a puzzle. The average teeth straightening plan takes around 5 months.
2. We’ll email your teeth straightening plan to you
Within 7–10 business days of receiving your impressions, we’ll upload your teeth straightening plan to your customer portal. This plan shows how your teeth will gradually move, aligner by aligner. You can log in to your EZ SMILE dashboard to look at your 3D plan at any time. You can even move the image and check out each angle of your new smile with our app. Once you approve and pay for your plan, we’ll start production of your custom clear aligners.
3. We post your clear aligners directly to you.
Around 3 weeks after you ordered your aligners you’ll receive your first teal box. We’ll send your aligners in boxes of 5, every 6 weeks until the end of your treatment. By posting them directly to you, not only does it save you time with orthondontist appointments, it cuts the cost up to 70% compared to other teeth straightening methods. Don’t worry though, we’ll be there to support you every step of your journey – our team is just a phone call or email away at any time.
4. Wearing your clear aligners
To get the best results you must wear your aligners for a minimum of 20 hours a day. You must remove them when eating and drinking anything except water. Use the chewie supplied with your box to ensure your aligners are the most comfortable fit. We suggest cleaning your aligners after every meal with toothpaste and water to keep them fresh. Even after you have finished with a set of aligners, clean them and keep them in a safe place. If you ever break or lose an aligner, you should go back to your last aligner and call us asap on 02 9999 4331 to order a new one.
5. Smile!
Once you complete your treatment, you will need to wear your retainer full time for the first two weeks and then nightly. With any teeth straightening process, retention is the most important part. Unfortunately, if you don’t wear your retainer, your teeth will move back to their original place. And don’t forget to purchase new retainers every 6 months to keep your new straight smile.
